| 内容記述 | Chiba Prefecture is composed of parts belonged to the Kanto Plain and of a main part of the Boso Peninsula, which faces to the Pacific Ocean. It is located just under the strongest subtropical westerly jet stream of the troposphere. So, the NW-NNW winds prevail in the northern part of the Prefecture in winter and SW-WSW winds in the southern part, which bring oceanic climate. In this paper, first, classification of climate landscape caused by the wind conditions was presented. They are : wind-prevention hedges, wind-prevention nets, windbreaks surrounding houses, damages of plants and vegetation by salty wind, wind-shaped trees, sand dunes, wind prevention by sasa/bamboo shoots, fixing method of roof tiles, and weak-wind landscape. Secondly, next steps of the studies on this subject were discussed. (i) To make clear the effects of the prevailing winds on the landscape quantitatively. For example, are they the winds associated with winter monsoon, summer monsoon, wind by typhoon or valley/mountain winds etc.? (ii) Chiba Prefecture has been divided climatologically by wind conditions. It is therefore needed to make clear "how are the regional distributions of the wind-landscapes corresponded to the wind regions?" | |||||||||||
