内容記述 In order to clarify the regional characteristics of acid rain in Chiba Prefecture, the data from precipitation obtained. during the period from April 1997 to March 1998 with the aid of environmental monitoring volunteers of the Institute of Environmental Studies of Keiai University have been analyzed. The results of the analyses are summarized as follows : 1) In the pH mean value distribution diagram in the warm period in fiscal 1997,the value of pH5.0 or less was distributed near Sakura. And, the value of pH5.0 or less was distributed near Sakura and Choshi in pH mean value distribution diagram in the cooling season. 2) The value over 0.7 which is high in the west in both the warm period and the cooling season is distributed on NO_3^-/nss-SO_4^<2-> ratio (N/S ratio) of the Northern Region in Chiba Prefecture. There is otherwise a region over N/S ratio of 0.7 in the Pacific coast in the cooling season. In the meantime, the low value appeared in the region which was close to the Keiyo industrial area and Kashima maritime industrial district. 3) The pH distribution and fractional acidity ([H^+])/([nss-SO_4^<2->]+[NO_3^-]) distribution in the warm period show a very good correlation. The relationship between pH and fractional acidity (A) in the warm period is shown in the following equation. pH=-2.42A+5.65 r=-0.87 And, the relationship between pH and fractional acidity (A) in the cooling season is shown in the following equation. pH=-2.07A+5.85 r=-0.84 4) In the neutralization of the acid of the Northern Region in Chiba Prefecture, NH_4^+ also greatly contributes more to the nss-Ca^<2+> approach 2~7 times. In the warm period, the degree is bigger in the east than in the west. It is an inland in the cooling season, and is large.
