The villages of the base for the climbers are facedwith the problems of garbages and polluted water and deforestation. So the situations are getting very serious. The program is to see the degee of water pollution in the everest highways mainly in and around namche bazar. Nemche bazar is the center of trades in the sol khumbu district. And it is located 3440m high in the southern foot himaraya mountains, the village is being under construction everywhere and the sound of smashing stones can be heard ever early in the morning. The measured result, pH was low at no.1 and no.6 and NH_4^+, no.5 and no.7 was high. This was because of human effects, the values of no.2 and no.8 are a little higher. Probably because of pasturel and for yaks which is located at the upper stream. There are three small waste disposal places of namche bazar. And they are run by SPCC (Sagarmatha Polution Control Committee, environmental NGO) staffs. Garbage boxes are installed along everest highways and at many places in the city, and the city is kept fairly clean.
